The payment receipt you are looking for is called سند قبض in the tool. It is the same document.

Payment receipt or سند قبض? One document, two names

The field list published for a «نموذج إيصال الدفع» is, field for field, the field list of a سند قبض. One form covers both directions — money in and money out — which is the same قبض/صرف split the tool here already produces.

The published description goes further and treats the receipt as the printed output of a saved voucher: once the سند قبض or سند صرف is saved, the receipt is what you print. It is not a second document; it is the paper the voucher comes out on.

Cash receipt is the same name again with the payment method named. The Arabic source is explicit that no receipt differs from another except in stating that payment was made in cash — and the payment method is already a field on the voucher, offering cash, cheque, transfer and card.

  • Receipt number and date
  • Who the money was received from, or paid to
  • What the payment is for
  • The amount in figures, and the amount written out in Arabic words
  • Payment method, with cheque or transfer references where relevant
  • Receiver signature and a stamp area

The real distinction: receipt or tax invoice?

The line that matters is not between إيصال and سند — those are the same thing — but between a receipt and an invoice. A receipt proves money was paid; a tax invoice is a tax document with its own requirements and its own scope.

A سند قبض is an accounting document evidencing receipt of money. It is not a tax invoice. If you are VAT-registered and receive payment for a taxable supply — advance payments included — a tax invoice or simplified tax invoice is required, and a receipt does not stand in for it.

The reverse case is just as real: residential rent is VAT-exempt in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Bahrain, so no tax invoice arises at all and the receipt is the correct instrument rather than a substandard substitute for one.

Rent receipts and instalment receipts

Rent is by far the most searched use of this document, so the tool carries a rent variant adding the period covered, the property or unit, the landlord and tenant by name, and the lease contract number.

The period covered is not an optional extra. Qatar Law 4/2008 Art. 11 requires rent to be paid against a receipt stating the rent; Bahrain Law 27/2014 Art. 22 makes rent payable upon a receipt for the rent period signed by the lessor; and Abu Dhabi Law 20/2006 Art. 11 makes a receipt for one period a presumption of payment for every preceding period unless disproved.

The instalment variant adds the instalment number out of the total and the due date, and prints the balance remaining after the payment. A whole series can be generated at once — twelve receipts for one tenant or one instalment plan, serially numbered, each covering the next period, in a single PDF.

A payment receipt is not an إيصال أمانة

The two are routinely confused, and they are opposites. An إيصال أمانة is an admission that the signer holds another party’s money or goods on trust, and that admission is the factual basis for the offence of خيانة الأمانة. A سند قبض does the reverse: it discharges an obligation, is signed by the recipient, and is kept by the payer as proof.

This tool does not produce an إيصال أمانة and offers no template for one. It warns inside the form if that wording appears in the voucher text. If what you want is proof that you received money, the document you need is a سند قبض.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a payment receipt and a سند قبض?

There is none. Payment receipt, cash receipt and سند قبض are interchangeable names for one document evidencing receipt of money, with the same fields. What differs is direction: سند قبض for money received, سند صرف for money paid, and the tool issues both.

Is a payment receipt an invoice?

No. A receipt proves money was paid; a tax invoice is a separate tax document. If you are VAT-registered and receive payment for a taxable supply, the tax invoice is required and the receipt does not replace it.

Does a payment receipt prove rent was paid?

Yes, and it is the most common use — provided it states the period covered. Qatari and Bahraini rent law require a receipt for the rent period, and Abu Dhabi law makes a receipt for one period a presumption of payment for all preceding periods unless disproved.

Can I generate receipts for several payments at once?

Yes. The tool generates a series of sequential receipts — up to twenty-four — for one tenant or one instalment plan, each with its own serial, date and period, in a single PDF.

Is a payment receipt the same as an إيصال أمانة?

No, they are opposites. An إيصال أمانة admits holding another party’s property on trust and is the basis of a خيانة الأمانة complaint, while a سند قبض discharges an obligation and is kept by the payer as proof of payment. This tool does not produce one.
