Privacy Policy
This policy describes what actually happens to your data when you use Fatorli: what you type into a document never leaves your browser, and only visit statistics go through Google Analytics.
In short
Fatorli runs entirely inside your browser. Your invoice data — your business name, VAT number, customers and amounts — is never sent to a server. We do not see it and cannot see it.
There is no user account, no signup, and no email address required.
We use Google Analytics to learn how many people visit and which pages they use, so we know which tools are useful. Nothing you type into a document reaches it.
Visit statistics: Google Analytics
When you open a page, the Google Analytics script loads from Google's servers and sends them: the page you visited and the page you came from, your device and browser type, your approximate location (country and city) inferred from your IP address, and how long you stayed.
It stores two cookies in your browser that recognise repeat visits: _ga and _ga_E9D0Q7LE62.
No field from your documents is sent to it: no business name, VAT number, customer or amount. That data never appears in a page address, and the address is what gets sent.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. To switch the statistics off, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block cookies for this site in your browser settings. The tool works fully either way.
What we do not use
Verified in the code itself, not merely intended:
- No advertising pixels or advertising tags
- No scripts from third-party hosts other than Google Analytics, and no third-party fonts — everything else is served from our own domain
- Nothing you type into a document is sent to any server, ours or anyone else's
What is stored on your device
For convenience your browser keeps five keys in its local storage, on your own device. They never leave it and we cannot read them:
- fatorli:settings/v1 — your seller details and preferences such as template, colour and country
- fatorli:draft/v1 — the invoice or quotation you are currently working on, so closing the tab does not lose it
- fatorli:receipt-draft/v1 — the receipt voucher you are working on, kept separately so neither draft erases the other
- fatorli:letter-draft/v1 — the salary or experience certificate you are working on, also kept separately
- fatorli:purchase-order-draft/v1 — the purchase order you are working on, also kept separately
Files you choose
A logo you upload, a CSV for batch invoicing, a QR image in the decoder: all are read and processed inside your browser. None is uploaded.
The PDF is built in your browser and saved straight to your device.
Camera
The QR decoder requests camera permission only when you press scan, and you may decline. The stream is read live in the browser and is never recorded, transmitted or stored.
Server logs
Access logging is switched off on our own server: it does not record IP addresses, browser types, the pages you visited, or when you visited them. The only visit statistics are those Google Analytics collects, described above.
Only technical faults are logged — the minimum needed to keep the server operable — which is not a record of visits and contains none of your invoice data.
Deleting your data
The "Clear saved data" button in the tool removes what your browser has stored. Clearing site data in your browser settings does the same.
We keep no copy of your documents, so there is nothing of them on our side to delete. Visit statistics stay in Google Analytics for the retention period set in our account and are then deleted automatically; they carry neither your name nor anything from your documents.
Changes to this policy
If any of the above changes, this page and the date at the top change with it. The most recent change added Google Analytics for visit statistics.
